You may recognize my cousin, from her engagement photos, bridals, and a family portrait session previously. I am starting on a new series of portraits highlighting my family’s international flair, and I realized that I saw Nanika and her daughter soon after their births at the same hospital. Since her mother, my aunt, was in town, we decided to get the whole family (minus college student sister, who had class) in on the action. Used both film and digital, and just got the film scans back from the lovely folks at the FIND lab!
So here is a sneak peak of Sneaky Neaky, as she used to be known…
Can you figure out what different cultures are represented? I can think of at least 4…
Had a great photo shoot before Christmas with a cute family. They wanted to do a Christmas cards and get a family portrait. Since we’d just had snow, they came up with the great idea to do action shots outside. We were having so much fun that we couldn’t get the 4 year old inside to do a portrait with her sisters by their stockings!
My brother wanted to do a Christmas card last year, but we ended up taking the photos only a few days before Christmas. So this is what we came up with instead. Obviously I have procrastinated posting this as well…
Here are the other options for Holiday card designs. I was at Neilsen’s Grove Park in Orem last week, and it is a beautiful location for portraits. There is a pond, gardens, trellises with ivy, a barn and a green house. The weather looks good for Sat–a little chilly, but sweaters will look nice. Email email@example.com or call 646.685.9580 to schedule. See the previous post for more details.
Christmas will be here before you know it. Why not take advantage of the beautiful fall weather and get your family portraits and holiday cards done at the same time!

Nika and I had fun doing her bridal portraits. She’s been over her princess phase for awhile, but understandably choose a big poofy dress. I thought that the castle style amphitheater would be the perfect location for these photos.
I just happened to notice the way that the light was falling on my bike in the hallway last night, and had to get a few photos of it.
I was going through some old photos from high school recently, and was pleasantly surprised to be reminded of a project I did while I was a junior, my first year in the intensive photo program at Fort Hayes Metropolitan Education Center. Here are some of the images:
